This is the Swarovski Flirt Ring.  I have worn it every day since I unravelled it from the clumsy wrapping paper assembled by my boyfriend, Andy.  The wrapping technique in no means expressed the wonders that were inside the ring box, and now I can’t get through a single day without my amazing Swarovski Flirt Ring.

Should you just give up on your quest to being stylish? Absolutely not!

Style is for everyone and has the ability to hide many body flows.

Let’s set some goals for you. Obviously I can’t guess them so I’ll just write all that I can think of here. You only have to read the ones you identify with, then apply my advice.

That’s all you have to do to look sharp!

So… I’m guessing that you…

1. … want to look smaller
2. … want to hide some extra pounds
3. … on the contrary, you want to look even more intimidating and show people what you’re made of!

But before we begin, let me give you the absolute unbreakable rule of style that applies to ALL of the above goals: fit is king.

In your quest for looking thinner (or even larger if that’s what you want), you should never ever wear clothes that don’t fit you perfectly.

I’ve seen many guys who wear clothes one size too small and end up looking like Pinocchio.

Here’s some real advice that you can instantly apply to your large body type and get real results.

1. How to look smaller

If you’re well proportioned, if you don’t have a belly but you just want to look less intimidating, you’ll definitely want to read this (If fact I recommend reading my entire book, “Be Stylish!”, to really look amazing).

The best piece of advice I can give you (and, please note,true religion knock off jeans, it is the absolute best thing you can do) is to wear darker colors.

By darker colors I don’t necessarily mean black. Sure, black is good but there are other alternatives. Remember, your goal is to look stylish as well as to look thinner.

So try on these colors too: charcoal gray,true religion brand jeans, navy blue, medium gray. In fact, look at the colors you’re wearing right now and go for darker shades of those same colors!

2. How to Hide Those Extra Pounds

If you’re not genetically blessed to gain weight proportionally,cheap true religion jeans sale, you’re probably the proud owner of a belly… That’s OK, I have some sneaky trick for you to camouflage it.

First of all, the rule above still applies: wear darker colors. If you want to wear lighter ones, here’s a trick I used many times to hide my belly (yes, I have one too):

I would wear… a pink shirt (you can wear any light color you want) with a black vest. The vest would “hide” my belly but my chest would and arms would be dressed in pink.

Get it?

You can hide ONLY the part you don’t want to be seen – you don’t have to dress “all black”.

Here’s a checklist with the items you need if you want to look smaller or thinner:

• V-neck sweaters
• single breasted sport jackets and suit jackets
• striped shirts (the vertical lines will make you look thinner)

3. Look even larger

If you’re large and you want to look larger, here’s some tips of what not to do.

Don’t wear clothes that are one size too large. You’ll look like you’re drowning in them. Please don’t do it.

If you want to look larger, the easiest thing to do is wear a plaid shirt. A plaid shirt has both vertical and horizontal lines which will trick the human eye into thinking you’re even bigger.

Fairysteps Birthday Shoes

Happy Birthday to me! And what a perfect chilly-but-sunny day for frolicking in the grass wearing my new shoes. Aren’t they gorgeous?

These are Queenie shoes from Fairysteps, in pink dragon leather to match my beloved handbag. I may have put them on before I got out of bed this morning, to the accompaniment of rolled eyes from my husband. I don’t know why he expected anything less, to be honest!

There’s a silly story attached to these shoes.

A few months ago Ren made a pair of Puck shoes in this leather, and I wanted them very much indeed. Sadly I couldn’t afford them at the time, and another lucky person snapped them up. Because all Fairysteps shoes are limited editions (each hide is a finite size, and not all colours can be repeated) you have to buy them when you see them, otherwise they might not reappear! So when another pair magically appeared a few weeks later, happily coinciding with some money in my PayPal account, I gleefully snaffled them straight away.

When Paul came home from work I confessed that I’d bought the shoes, and he looked at me, paused and said “Oh, um…” at which point he was forced to reveal that he’d already bought this pair, and put them aside for my birthday! I quickly sent Ren a rather embarrassed email explaining the situation and,wholesale true religion jeans, bless her, she was happy to refund me straight away. So a huge thank you to Ren, for sorting out our silliness!

I did feel a bit silly though, and spent a good while wondering whether I could possibly justify owning two almost-identical pairs of shoes… but now I can keep saving up for a pair of Mustardseed or Moonshine boots. I know that a pair of Moonshines are in progress, but it’s probably just as well that they’re not in my size! Maybe next year…

Paul’s been threatening me for weeks that he wasn’t actually going to give me the shoes for my birthday, he was going to put them away until Christmas. I’m so pleased he wasn’t cruel enough to actually do that, because I do love my new shoes! (And my handbag… and my purse… and my choker…)

It’s so lovely to be able to wear or use a well-made item that fills you with joy!

Whether you’ve watched the White Collar TV series or not, you’ll have a lot to learn from this series’ main character: Matt Bomer (a.k.a Nick Caffrey on the show). Outfit #1

Let’s start with my absolute favorite: a picture of Matt wearing a tie clip, a hat and a pocket square.

Here’s what I mean. If Matt was wearing a shirt in a bold color (such as yellow or green) with a pattern (such as vertical stripes or checks) and a colored pocket square… it would have been too much for him.

Obviously, for a TV character, he couldn’t have distracted the viewer’s attention from the screenplay by wearing outfits that are too bold but…

… it’s up to YOU and only you to decide how much you want to stand out. Just make sure before you do that, that the FIT is perfect. If you’re wearing outfits that aren’t your size, the last thing you want is to have everyone’s eyes on you.

Before we move on to the next outfit, there is one style rule that Matt didn’t follow in this photo. Did you spot it?

It’s the shirt’s cuff, of course! It should be spotted from beneath the suit jacket. If this is your case as well, this means that either the shirt’s sleeves are too short, that the suit jacket is too long or both.

Outfit #2

While this outfit isn’t as bold as the previous one,true religion megan jeans, you can see in action a very old formal style rule: if you’re wearing a white shirt, the pocket square should be white as well.

But that’s not all. notice how the dark-gray suit has some black on it. This black matches perfectly with the silk tie. This sort of match can be hard to achieve because it’s hard to find suits like these.

It was hard for me to find a casual outfit of Matt but, nevertheless, here it is.

Truth be told, I’m a little disappointed because of the lack of color but I DO like the fedora and the glasses. They give him a mysterious air which you can have as well if you’re willing to try this combination.
